This Be Pretti Be Good Shirt begins with a solemn reminder of a life lost too soon. On January 24, 2026, Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse from Minneapolis, was shot and killed by U.S. Border Patrol agents during an immigration enforcement operation—an incident that sparked widespread protests and calls for accountability across the country. Pretti was fatally shot amid demonstrations in south Minneapolis, where tensions over federal immigration enforcement had already been rising after earlier deadly encounters with federal agents.

Designed for anti-ICE supporters and those who wish to honor Pretti’s memory, the graphic blends the phrase “Be Pretti Be Good” with imagery that evokes compassion, resistance, and the urgency of social justice. It serves as both a tribute to a caregiver known for kindness and community service and a protest against the policies and practices that led to his death.
